Javier R. Ponce

Assistant Instructor-American Nippon Kenpo Federation

Welcome students, parents, and friends to your martial arts school of American Nippon Kenpo Federation. The principle rules to study and learn Nippon kenpo are discipline, spirit, and patience.

I was born in Mexico in 1972 and have four sisters and two brothers. I moved to Los Angeles in 1986 where I met Teresa in 1992. My two sons were born in 1993 and 1995.

Since my enrollment in American Nippon Kenpo martial arts schools in 1996, that is where I met my instructor, Sensei Manuel Nunez. One of my biggest dreams was to earn a black belt and in the year 2004 my dream became a reality. My rank of 1st Degree Black Belt in 2006 and 2nd Degree in 2010 with the American Nippon Kenpo Federation and also registered with the Japan Nippon Kenpo Federation in Osaka, Japan, as well.

As an student of Nippon Kenpo, my road was difficult due to Spanish being my first language and learning English during these years. This, however, did not stop me from achieving my dream because I trained with consistency in discipline, spirit and a lot of heart. My advice to you is that if you want your dream to become a reality, you must work hard and never give up on your dream. This was taught to me by a person whom I consider I best friend.

Your support, confidence, and patience with me is appreciated and I do hope to meet and work with all who are interested.

God bless my good friend and Sensei Manuel R. Nunez…

Respectfully,
Sensei Ponce
